Free ACT Saturday Workshops

Financial Aid Starts Here

This workshop will provide information about sources of financial aid available to pay for college. Parents and students will learn about federal and state financial aid programs and the application processes.

Topics include:

  • Definition and understanding of financial need
  • Cost of attendance and budgeting college expenses
  • Federal financial aid programs, including Pell Grant, Work-study, Direct Loan program
  • An overview of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • An overview of state financial aid programs; MTAG, MESG, HELP
